AFTERNOON TEA SERVER ETIQUETTE TRAINING
Following the revival of the English Afternoon Tea, many high-end hotels are offering Afternoon Tea Service during the winter holiday months, an occasion one looks forward to with great anticipation and high expectations for a perfect experience. Since the 1840’s when the protocol for The Afternoon Tea Service was introduced to the high society by Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, several different forms of tea service were fashioned.
Today The Traditional English Afternoon Tea Service served at a few exclusively select establishments follow a strict protocol including the choice of uniform and gloves for the server, to how the server welcomes the guests and hosts the complete tea experience, to how to assist guests choose the right tea selection and complementing savory and sweet selections, to how long each tea selection is handled. This Afternoon Tea Service training by The Etiquette Academy follows The Traditional English Afternoon Tea protocol and requires tremendous attention to detail and cooperation of the chef and serving staff. Our training focuses on making sure that every guest is satisfied and the experience and atmosphere are relaxing yet elegant and inviting, the service and menu balanced, and the right appearance, communication and protocol is followed. |
